Thanks to advances in dental implant techniques and materials, the options for dental implants supporting dentures are better than ever. If you’re missing some or even all of your teeth and/or are struggling to adapt to dentures, implants could offer the solution you’ve been waiting for!
6-8 Dental Implants Per Arch
When traditional implants are used to anchor dentures, generally six to eight dental implants per arch are placed. The dental implants not only provide permanency and stability, but they also help prevent bone loss. And preventing bone loss is the key to maintaining the natural shape of your face and avoiding a “sunken” look.
All On 4 Dental Implants
All on 4 dental implants can be used to anchor an upper set of dentures, a lower set of dentures, or both. Four dental implants per arch are used, two in the back, and two centered toward the front.
Mini Dental Implants
Mini dental implants, which are about half the size of traditional dental implants, are a great option for narrow spaces, small teeth, or areas where there’s limited healthy bone. Mini dental implants are generally used for lower arches, to anchor partial dentures.
